A visit to almost two thousand years of history? Do not miss Castel Sant’Angelo!

A pleasant walk along the Lungotevere Castello, or crossing the Ponte Sant’Angelo, between angels carved on the balustrades …
It dates back to 123 AD, and was originally a, tomb burial, (the family of the Emperor Adriano), and then became a fortified outpost, a prison, a luxurious Renaissance residence… to become a museum.

With its six levels, from the courtyard to the terrace, is surely one of the most beautiful monuments of Rome!

And if you want a moment of romance, go there around 17.00… the sunset is spectacular!

In addition, you can also visit the exhibition Russian icons. For the first time exhibited, forty icons from the Museum of Russian Icons in Moscow. (from the fifteenth to the twentieth century)
