The Castle of Guarene is an exclusive and unique place, a precious testimony of the Baroque in Piemonte, for seven centuries dominating the hills and the Langhe.
It is an imposing three-storey building, which reaches 25 meters in height, surrounded by vast and elegant Italian gardens built in the first half of the eighteenth century.
About two hours from Milan, this Relais & Chateaux is full of works of art, having been an archive of memories and a museum of architecture, painting and decorative arts. The “Stanza del Vescovo“, the “Camera Azzurra”, the nineteenth-century frescoed vaults of the “Sala della Musica“, will take you on a journey through history, overlooking an Italian garden: the Labyrinth Garden.
The castle also includes the Patron Chapel of St. Teresa with a wonderful dome and an elliptical plan.
All the bedrooms have been baptized with the names of historical figures and are full equipped for the best comfort.
And nearby you will find the famous Truffle of Alba!

This, I think is the best way to describe Bach.
Baroque music, finds full expression in his works full of energy, full of virtuosity.
Actually this music, created for other instruments, will find its full realization, in the piano.
If you love the piano, then, do not miss the concert of tonight, Homage to Bach, of Alexander Tharaud, young French talent.
