The Castle of Guarene is an exclusive and unique place, a precious testimony of the Baroque in Piemonte, for seven centuries dominating the hills and the Langhe.

It is an imposing three-storey building, which reaches 25 meters in height, surrounded by vast and elegant Italian gardens built in the first half of the eighteenth century.

About two hours from Milan, this Relais & Chateaux is full of works of art, having been an archive of memories and a museum of architecture, painting and decorative arts. The “Stanza del Vescovo“, the “Camera Azzurra”, the nineteenth-century frescoed vaults of the “Sala della Musica“, will take you on a journey through history, overlooking an Italian garden: the Labyrinth Garden.

TUSCANY – middle ages

The Castello di Velona, is a UNESCO heritage site.
It is located in a privileged position, overlooking the wonderful Val d’Orcia, just minutes from the art treasures of Siena, Montalcino, Montepulciano and San Gimignano.

The origins of the fort date back to the eleventh century, and the oldest part still visible today is the watchtower of the twelfth century, witness of the clashes between the Republic of Florence and that of Siena. The loggia dates back to the Renaissance period, when the manor was turned into a residential villa.
