Saturday Night Museum of Rome

And it  is Saturday.
This evening will be a lovely evening and, then, what better than  a walk through the streets of Rome?

Just at sunset, before going to enjoy some pleasure in one of the downtown restaurants,  stop by the Tempio dell’ Ara Pacis!

Did you know that the monuments and architecture created in ancient times, were in fact originally colored?

The monochrome image that we see today is the result of the wear of time…

Saturdays evening in Rome, the museums are open, and only on Saturdays, it is proposed the initiative “The Colors of the Ara Pacis.”
The virtual coloration of antique marbles, thanks to a advanced lighting technology!

Projected images are such as to “complete” the lost parts of the monuments.
A truly unique experience!
