Aperitif…in Rome

One of the most relaxing moments of the day …

In Italy we love to meet friends at the Happy Hour time!

You don’t need to drink alcoholic drinks…

Wine is fine, but you can have so many different choices as….

CRODINO : a fizzy refreshing herbal orange soft drink

SPRITZ: Aperol, white dry wine, soda water

CHINOTTO: soda pop with bitter herb extracts, so 60s!

ACQUA TONICA: bitter and quinine soda

REDBULL: energy drink

BITTER: slightly alcoholic red drink, flavored with herbs

all the NON ALCOHOLIC fruit-based COCKTAILS

And usually the drink is accompanied by snacks of any kind, or includes a dedicated small “tapas” buffet!

For a delicious drink in a very nice place, I go to CANOVA, in Via del Babuino, or for an early evening , to Bar del Fico or at  Caffè della Pace, near Piazza Navona!

The White Night in Rome

And ‘true … the month of August this year was hot!
For those lucky tourists who come to Rome in mid-September here are …

Appointment on September 19 for the WHITE NIGHT in Rome!

Is the only time during the year where you will find wide open all night.

You can visit museums that organize exhibitions for the occasion related to the initiative,   totally free admission, and continued throughout the night.

Many cinemas, theaters and restaurants stay open all night,

streets and squares are transformed into

beautiful outdoor stages hosting concerts and plays absolutely free!

At ‘dawn, back to the hotel or at home, you will find working subway, bus and tram, a  priceless comfort!

Looking for an accommodation? Hostelbookers is a site with very cheap opportunities! 😉

Do you  want to relax and have fun ?

Till the 31 of August you can walk on the Banks of the Tiber and have a drink listening to some music!

And you can continue from the Terrace of the Gianicolo, or head to Ponte Milvio, full of bars and people….

About Ponte Milvio…. here the young guys in love, had begun to attach the locks to a lamppost , to symbolize their love forever !!

The chain of love!

The guys began to arrive from all over Italy and beyond …;;;; up to cover almost all!

They’ve even made a movie!

Ah, l’amour!
