Are you enjoing a beautiful tour of Tuscany?
In Castiglione d’Orcia ( Tuscany), amazing area, not far from Montepulciano and Motalcino (for lovers of excellent wine) right in a forest, I point out these hot springs of thermal water, whose access is free: the “Bagni di San Filippo”.
Near Mountain Amiata, these waterfalls that alternate hot and cold pools of water, await you. Tanks of white limestone among the trees and you can also make thermal mud!
Look for the entrance to the “Fosso Bianco”, nearby you can also stop in the bar that offers typical products and excellent wines.
On beautiful winter days, with plenty of towels, you can enjoy a truly special day!

One of the most beautiful tours in Rome:
the Baths of Diocletian (Thermae Diocletian), third century AD, almost 13 hectares.
The thermal building, the largest in the ancient world, included calidarium, tepidarium and frigidarium (capable of hosting 3000 people at once).
These very spacious rooms were transformed by Michelangelo for the construction of the Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli and the Christian martyrs.
The other areas, natatio or frigidarium for swimmers (pool of over 3500 meters in open air) and several other rooms were, lounges, occupied by libraries, nymphs, locker rooms for musical auditions for physical exercises.
Too bad that they are accessible only in part, for complex restoration work in progress… but it’s worth it!
